URGENT SCAM ALERT
Friends, several of you have shared experiences about a concerning scam in the past few weeks:
Scam Details:
You receive a call from someone claiming to be from Coinbase, stating that your account has been compromised.
The caller has personal details about you, making it seem like they are legitimately from Coinbase.
You are instructed to transfer the balance from your Coinbase account into a different wallet, supposedly to secure your funds.
IMPORTANT: Please be aware that Coinbase will NEVER call you directly or ask you to move your crypto to another account over the phone.
Action Steps:
Discuss this scam with your friends and network to raise awareness.
If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and contact Coinbase directly through verified channels.
